You can get all the information you need by calling the planning
department office at (819) 681-3371, ext 5008. If
you qualify, you can also obtains a 36 month property tax free
exemption or get free sewer or water supply connection.
For a 36 month property tax exemption, here are the
eligible types of construction that qualify:
Construction :
- All new constructions;
Renovation :
- Renovation work of finished work on the outer
casing of buildings, with the total costs, totaling
more tha 10,000$;
Add-ons :
- Add-ons to the existing building which result in
new additional lodgings;
Interior retrofit works :
- Additional lodgings establishment.
Town planning by-laws
Treated drinkable water
Our drinkable water is precious. This is why there is an annual
conservation ordered by bylaw June 1st to October 1st. During this period, outdoors
usage or drinkable water is limited in order to save it. It is possible to use the water for landscaping, plants, car washing or pool filling during the water shortage period, on
these following conditions :
- for even civic numbers buildings : Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm
- for odd civic numbers buildings : Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm
It is prohibited to use drinking water :
- For cleaning or watering driveways.
- For agricultural or horticulture purposes.
Any new landscaping installed may proceed with watering for 15 consecutive days with a permit issued by the municipality, from 5.00 pm to 10.00 pm.
Note that any person that breaches any of these
bylaws is liable to a minimum fine of $200 for a first offence and a maximum of $400 for a subsequent offence within a time frame of two (2) years.
