LOGO AND COAT OF ARMS
LOGO DESCRIPTION
In 1993, the municipality of Labelle adopted its logo with the following characteristics :
- The main base of the logo is the letter L which you will probably guessed is from the word Labelle. This letter is switched over to the left in order to form a symmetrical shape which upper part is represented by two mountains.
- Crossing over this letter or between both mountains; the chute aux Iroquois of la rivière Rouge, central point of the municipality.
- In the background, the sun is stylized to give the logo an atmosphere of
well being and a joie de vivre. We could also describe it as a sunny mountain
side.
- With another vision, the general allure of the logo resembles a flower
with a symbol a beauty, because like a flower this regions is truly beautiful.
- The colors which were dictated by nature, by their their clarity and
luminesence, litterally make the logo alive.
COAT OF ARMS
While walking through the streets of Labelle, you will notice that each street names are adorned with the coat of arms of the municipality which is the crest of Labelle. Notwithstanding the fact that now its being abandoned on behalf of the logo it is important to the following part of the Heritage of Labelle :
« De gueules, à une tête d'homme baroque de carnation, posée de face, chevelée et barbée d'argent, couronnée de feuilles de laurier de sinople, flanqué d'or : au chef cousu d'azur, chargé d'un écot posé en fasce portant deux perdrix aux extrémités et surmonté d'une couronne antique, le tout d'or.»
