MUNICIPAL AFFAIRS
CITY HALL
The town of
Labelle was recognized as ''Village-relais'' in 2008
which was a first in Québec, to receive that status.
That recognition gives Labelle certain notoriety and
forces us to develop an action plan and improve our
quality of services. For us it is a means to be a better
place to visit and spend some time.
We have also worked
on an economic diversification plan following the recent
closing of the mill.
This plan states the actions to be taken in the following
years to come.
In 2008, we
participated in the Fleurons du Québec. We received a three
out of five, this is very respectable for a first try. The
next evaluation for this award will be during the summer of
2011, and we would encourage all merchants, residents and
institutions to follow the towns lead and the Horticultures
society of Labelle to beautify their lots, improve our town
and our evaluation.
I hope you enjoy navigating on our website and invite you
to contact us for further information or any suggestions you
may have.
